چکیده

We report the immunochemical characterization of a new platelet-specific alloantigen detected using an lgG antibody isolated from the serum of a patient with posttransfusion purpura (PTP). In indirect immunoprecipitation experiments, the antibody, termed anti Leka, predominantly precipitated glycoprotein (GP) llb from Triton X-100 lysates of normal human platelets. In an immunoblot procedure, which involved the transfer of platelet polypeptides separated by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to nitrocellulose membrane, anti Ieka bound exclusively to GP lIb. Under identical conditions, four anti PIAl antibodies each reacted with GP lIla. No binding of anti Ieka lgG occurred to leka ( ) platelets or to their separated polypeptides although GP lIb was normally

Immunochemical characterization of the platelet-specific alloantigen Leka: a comparative study with the PlA1 alloantigen.

We report the immunochemical characterization of a new platelet-specific alloantigen detected using an IgG antibody isolated from the serum of a patient with posttransfusion purpura (PTP). In indirect immunoprecipitation experiments, the antibody, termed anti-Leka, predominantly precipitated glycoprotein (GP) IIb from Triton X-100 lysates of normal human platelets. In an immunoblot procedure, w...

Sra, a private platelet antigen on glycoprotein IIIa associated with neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia.

A new platelet alloantigen, Sra, is described that was defined by an alloantibody detected in the serum of a healthy mother who delivered a child with typical clinical signs of neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (NAIT). The antibody reacted strongly with the child's and father's platelets, but not with platelets of the mother or with those of a highly selected panel representing all known pla...

Induction of alloantigen-specific CD4+ T regulatory Type 1 cells by alloantigen immunization and ultraviolet-B irradiation: a pilot study in murine transplantation models with skin and cardiac allografts.

BACKGROUND The use of ultraviolet (UV)-B irradiation after alloantigen immunization is unknown because previous studies focused on UV-B irradiation before immunization. Here, we investigated immunosuppressive effects induced by UV-B irradiation after immunization, and examined the phenotype of induced regulatory T cells and the possible mechanism of induction. MATERIAL AND METHODS B6 mice (H-...
